DePauw's campus email system is GroupWise 7.0. We commonly refer to the Web Access version as TigerMail. More details on the latest versions of GroupWise and TigerMail can be found on the User Guides page. ![]()
IMPORTANT NOTE FOR FACULTY AND STUDENTS ACCESSING EMAIL FROM OFF-CAMPUS:
To access GroupWise while off-campus, you may need to change your address setting.
| 1. When you open GroupWise, you should see the following dialog box: | ![]() |
| 2. Click on "Cancel", and you should see a more detailed dialog box: | ![]() |
Make sure that the Online Address is "pof7.depauw.edu" (faculty or staff) or "post.depauw.edu" (students). The Port should be set to 1677. Type in your username (if not displayed) and your password. You should now be set to the correct address. This mailbox address works on-campus and off. Next time, log into GroupWise as you normally do.
Features of GroupWise 7:
- TigerMail has a new look & feel! Browser-like tabs, drag-and-drop and spell-checking
- New desktop client for Intel-based Macs
- New Windows client, with tabbed browsing and improved Calendar views
What did NOT change:
• All DePauw e-mail addresses remain the same.
• Mailboxes have kept all messages; address books and calendar events will stay.
• All archive and proxy access rights were unchanged.
PLEASE NOTE: GroupWise clients can only be Downloaded on campus!
