Harrison Hall
The Infant Discovery and Emotion Lab (IDEL) is located in the Psychology Department in Harrison Hall. The building is centrally located on DePauw University's campus in the academic quad.
Parking Space

The IDEL has a dedicated parking space for participants. The parking space is conveniently located a few feet away from Harrison Hall. |
Waiting Room
We have a comfortable waiting room for participants as we discuss with them the study in which they are going to participate.
Testing Room
We have a large testing room that can be configured in a variety of ways depending on the studies we're doing. The testing room is outfitted with motorized remote control video-cameras, as well as one-way observation glass at both ends of the room.
Control Room

The control room is adjacent to the testing room and allows researchers to unobtrusively observe participants during studies. The control room is outfitted with state-of-the-art video recording and editing equipment. |
Coding & Meeting Room
In this room, we code the data for subsequent data analysis. We also use this room to meet as a lab to devise future studies and discuss studies already underway.
Data Storage & Other Rooms
We have a number of large horizontal file cabinets that are used to store the data we collect. The file cabinets are secure to protect participants’ confidentiality. In addition, the lab has access to a number of rooms that are shared by the Psychology department that can be used for a variety of purposes.
