Historical Sketch

            “The Joint Archives Committee is an advisory body. As a whole the committee reviews the policies and activities of the joint archives and advises the Archivist. The Committee is the principle means of coordinating the efforts of the United Methodist Church of Indiana and the efforts of DePauw University as they affect the Archives.” The Committee meets at least one time a year. There are a total of seven members who are appointed to their position, and another three are part of the Committee, given their position at DePauw University. Under the recommendation of President Wildman, the Committee was formed in 1950.


Collection Statement

            This collection, consisting of two files (1950-1980, 1981-present), includes newsletters, planned agendas for the annual meetings, minutes, annual budgets, and current and future projects to be taken on by the Archives. It also contains a yearly list of the Committee members.
