DePauw University McNaughton Medal,
Old Gold Day and Science Symposium, September 29-30, 1972

 

Percy L. Julian was the first recipient of the McNaughton Medal. The medal honors the memory of John T. McNaughton, a 1942 DePauw graduate and native of Bicknell, Indiana, and resident of Pekin, Illinois. McNaughton was Secretary of the Navy designate when he was fatally injured in an airplane crash in 1967.
