 Booklet commemorating Percy L. Julian's 1935 synthesis of the glaucoma drug physostigmine as a National Historic Chemical Landmark. The designation was conferred by the American Chemical Society, a not-for-profit scientific research and educational organization of more than 159,000 chemists and chemical engineers. A plaque marking the event was presented to DePauw University on April 23, 1999, during the university's celebration of the centennial anniversary of Percy Julian's birth.
