Biographical Sketch

Rev. Thomas B. McManis was born in Boone County, Indiana August 16th, 1837 and died January 21st, 1883, at Indianapolis, Indiana. At about the age of seventeen, he united with the Methodist Episcopal Church under the labors of the Rev. A. J. Sheridan. In the fall of 1858, he entered Indiana Asbury University, and graduated in 1862, and received the degree of A.M. from his Alma Mater. In 1872 he was appointed to the Morton Circuit and remained there three years.

This collection contains letters from 1863-1865, sermon outlines, and sermons. Many miscellaneous items, and obituary, genealogy in three parts and a notebook are also included.
