United Methodist Records
Collections of records of Methodist Episcopal, United Brethren and Evangelical
Association churches can be found in the Archives. Many of these collections
contain membership lists which can be used in comparisons of denominations,
churches in similar-sized towns, members' occupations or other subjects. The
records can also be used in conjunction with other records listed above in various
studies. Consult with an Archives and Special Collections staff member. For
example, records could be compared for churches in Greencastle and Crawfordsville
along with census for both counties (census for counties surrounding Putnam are
available at the Putnam County Public Library.) Comprehensive Search
