Historical Sketch

   Chester Heights was founded in 1863 as a Methodist Episcopal Church on Chester Rd. The church was relocated in 1964 at the corner of U.S. Highway 27 North and Tingler Rd. Improvements were made in 1985-86.

    For a time, the Chester Heights church shared a pastor with Webster UMC and together the two parishes shared the publication of a joint newsletter, The Cross and Flame.

Collection Statement

     The collection consists of a list of ministers of Chester Heights UMC, as well as, newsletters published jointly by the two churches when they were linked as one.
