§ Strengths

o Covers more than 3 billion URLs

o Assumes an “AND” with search terms and analyzes proximity

o Links you to cached copies of web pages

o Searches multiple file types (.pdf, .doc, .xls, .txt, .ppt, .rtf) and will let you view many as HTML

o Allows you to translate Google buttons and help into many different languages

§ Weaknesses

o No truncation

o Only indexes the first 101K of a Web page
