Harp and Folk Guitar
Harriet Thompson Moore, harp, has performed solo and symphonic works with many orchestras throughout the United States, including the North Carolina, Duke, University of North Carolina, and Indiana University symphony orchestras. She has recorded numerous CDs with DePauw and Indiana State University faculty. Professor Moore earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and both Bachelor and Master of Music degrees from Indiana University, where she studied with Susann McDonald.
She also has studied with Nancy Allen at the Aspen Music Festival, and with Odette LeDentu at the Schola Cantorum in Paris. An active freelance performer, she is Principal Harp of the Terre Haute Symphony Orchestra. Professor Moore joined the School of Music faculty in 1989 and is currently Adjunct Assistant Professor of Harp and Guitar. Appointed 1989.
