Karl Odenwald '05 Named Head Baseball Coach at Missouri HS

Karl Odenwald, a 2005 graduate of DePauw University, has been named head baseball coach at Missouri's Rolla High School. "Odenwald, age 29, will be entering his fifth year as a teacher/coach in the Rolla Public School System in the 2012-13 school year. He is a teacher in the social studies department at RHS and is also an assistant coach for the Rolla High football team," reports the Rolla Daily News.

"Prior to coming to Rolla Odenwald spent three years as a teacher/coach at Webster Groves, where he worked on the football coaching staff," adds the report.

Odenwald inherits a squad that was 17-9 record this past season.

"I feel the program is in good shape," says the coach, a history major who played football and baseball at DePauw. NCAA Baseball 1"I like the direction we’re headed. We have a good mix of experience and youth. The group that will be sophomores is very talented. I think we’re in a good position to continue to compete in our conference and district."
