HS Head Soccer Coach Kristen McMahon '10 Gears Up for First Season

Kristen McMahon, a 2010 graduate of DePauw University, is preparing for her first season as head girl's soccer coach at Olentangy Liberty High School in Powell, Ohio. The team was 17-2-1 last season and made it to the regional semifinals.

"We lost 10 seniors, but I don't think we lost any momentum," McMahon tells ThisWeek. "Last year got the girls thinking that we are indeed in the top tier of teams in central Ohio. They're working hard to make sure that last year was not a one-year thing."

The article notes, "McMahon, who was a varsity assistant to Lisa Saiben the past two seasons, was promoted to head coach in December. A math teacher at Liberty Middle School, McMahon played at Hilliard Davidson and DePauw University," where she majored in mathematics, minored in education studies and Spanish, and played soccer.
