#7 DePauw Sweeps Sunday Games

Clermont, Fla. - Seventh-ranked DePauw improved to 12-0 on the season after defeating Southern Maine (14-1) and #12 Wisconsin-Whitewater (3-1).
In the win over Southern Maine, the Tigers jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the top of the first as Holly Paris drove in Rachel MacBeth and Haley Buchanan with a single. The Huskies countered with one in the bottom of the first as Katie Davis singled to score Stefanie Stockwell.
The Tigers added six in the second with Jen Kosinski and Amy Hallett each hitting two-run doubles before scoring five in the third and one more in the fourth.
DePauw totaled 13 hits as MacBeth, Kosinski and Paris each had three and Hallett added two. Three different Southern Maine players collected one hit apiece.
Kahla Nolan improved to 4-0, while Caitlin LeBorgne suffered the loss.
Kosinski's solo homer in the first against Wisconsin-Whitewater gave DePauw a 1-0 lead, but the Warhawks knotted the score in the fourth when Emily Epifanio singled and later scored on Paige Evangelista's base hit.
DePauw regained the lead in the fifth after Jamie Story and Cymone Allen walked and Kosinski drove in both with a double.
The Tigers totaled six hits with Kosinski leading with two and driving in all three runs. Whitewater also finished with six hits as Epifanio led with two. Emily Dieckmann improved to 6-0, while Emily Bichler recorded the final two outs for her first save. Bekka Houda suffered the loss.
DePauw returns to action on Tuesday, March 27, when it faces Williams in a pair of games beginning at 9 a.m.Back
