DePauw Places Six on All-NCAC Softball Teams

Greencastle, Ind. - In voting by the North Coast Athletic Conference coaches, six DePauw student-athletes have earned spots on the all-conference softball teams.
Shortstop Jen Kosinski (Sr., Schererville, Ind./Lake Central) and third baseman Holly Paris (Sr., Covington, Ind./Covington) were first team infield selections and Amy Hallett (Jr., Phoenix, Ariz./Pinnacle) was chosen as the first team catcher.
In DePauw's 16 NCAC games this year, Kosinski (pictured far left) hit .426 with three homers and 15 RBI and scored 20 runs. Paris (pictured near left) batted .347 with five doubles and one homer along with nine RBI. Hallett (right) hit .400 with nine doubles, four homers, nine RBI, 17 runs and an .820 slugging percentage.
First baseman/pitcher Emily Dieckmann (Fr., Lisle, Ill./Naperville North) was named to the second team as a utility player, while Haley Buchanan (Sr., Indianapolis, Ind./Cathedral) was the second team designated player.
Dieckmann batted .308 in NCAC games and committed just one error for a .984 fielding percentage. She posted a 3-4 record in the circle with a 1.71 ERA and 47 strikeouts in 49.0 innings. Opposing hitters batted .236 against her.
Outfielder Kate Hendrickson (Jr., Indianapolis, Ind./Cathedral) earned honorable mention.
DePauw posted a 29-12 overall record and finished third in the NCAC with a 10-6 conference record. The Tigers finished second in last weekend's conference tournament.Back
