DePauw Trails Methodist by Two Strokes with 18 Holes Left at NCAA Championships

DSC 8091Angola, Ind. - DePauw shot a third-round 313 for a three-round total of 934 which is just two strokes behind leader Methodist with one day left at the NCAA Division III Women's Golf Championships on the Zoller Golf Course. Williams is in third at 939 and Wisconsin-Eau Claire is fourth at 942.

Taylor Beaty (Sr., Decatur, Ind./DeKalb) leads the way with a 228 which is good for fifth place after shooting a 77 today. Beaty (pictured) birdied 18 after recording 12 pars on the day.

Paige Gooch (So., Fort Mitchell, Ky./Beechwood) is tied for 12th with a 232 after shooting 80 in the third round, while Kelsey Smith (So., Indianapolis, Ind./Hamilton Southeastern) is tied for 24th at 236 after today's 78. Smith was one-under through six after birdies on three and four.

Abby Dickey (So., Elk Grove Village, Ill./St. Viator) is tied for 38th with a 241 including today's 80 and Kelly Gaughan (Sr., Cincinnati, Ohio/McAuley) moved up 10 spots to a tie for 42nd at 242 after shooting 78 this afternoon.

Wisconsin-Eau Claire's Catherine Wagner leads the 101-player field with a 225, one stroke ahead of Centre's Emily Bachert.
