Tigers Season Comes to an End in NCAA Opening Round

Danville, Ky. - Emory scored midway through the first half and early in the second and blanked DePauw, 2-0, in the opening round of the NCAA Division III Championship.
The Tigers finished their season at 7-11-1, while the 16th-ranked Eagles improved to 12-1-6 and faces Centre in tomorrow's second-round game.
Veronica Romero scored at 24:22, before Emily Feldman added the second on a double assist from Lee Bachouros and Lauren Gorodetsky at 47:58.
Emory held a 29-4 advantage in shots including a 16-3 margin in shots on goal. The Eagles also led in corners, 10-2.
Emma Cooper totaled 14 saves for the Tigers, while Emory's Erica Stein and Kaele Leonard shared the shutout. Leonard stopped four shots in the second half.
