Flynn Takes Home NCAC Player of the Week Honors

Greencastle, Ind. – Senior Barry Flynn (Indianapolis/Cathedral) took home North Coast Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week honors after averaging 23.0 points and 6.0 rebounds and shooting 67.9 percent from the field in wins over Denison and Oberlin.
Last Wednesday against Denison, Flynn led the Tigers to a 79-65 victory on the back of a 23-point, eight-rebound performance. In the game, Flynn missed just two of 11 shots from the floor, pacing the 55.3 percent shooting effort by DePauw.
In the 61-43 win over Oberlin in Philips Gym in Ohio, Flynn registered another 23-point performance to help give the Tigers their seventh win in their last nine games.
Through 17 games this season, Flynn is averaging 15.7 points and 7.4 rebounds per contest, while tallying over a steal, a block and an assist in each game. Flynn ranks in the top-10 in four (of five) main statistical categories; points (3rd), rebounds (6th), steals (8th) and blocks (8th).
Flynn and the rest of the Tigers return to action this Wednesday, January 23, when they host Wittenberg at 8 p.m.
