Sixth-ranked DePauw in Second at Halfway Point of Washington University Invitational

Madison, Ill. - Led by Abby Dickey's 76, DePauw shot an opening-round 320 and is in second after the first of two rounds at the Washington University Spring Invitational on the Gateway National Golf Links.

DePauw, ranked sixth in the latest coaches' poll and seventh by Golfstat.com, trails Williams Woods University by six strokes and is eight shots ahead of host Washington in the 19-school field.

Dickey shares the individual lead with Myriam Hassan of William Woods. Paige Gooch is tied for fourth at 78, while Kelsey Smith shot an 80 to tie for ninth. Camila Romero followed with an 86 and Jacqueline Carroll a 90.

Second and final round play gets started on Sunday morning.
