Men’s Lax Falls To Ohio Wesleyan and Mother Nature

Delaware, Ohio – The DePauw men’s lacrosse team fell to Ohio Wesleyan, 24-2, in a weather-shortened North Coast Athletic Conference contest on Wednesday, April 10, at Selby Stadium.
With the victory, Ohio Wesleyan’s conference record remains spotless at 4-0, while they sport a 9-4 overall mark. DePauw dropped to 0-10 with the loss.
DePauw’s Michael Strader led the Tigers offensively, tallying both DePauw goals on just three shot attempts. Additionally, Strader scooped up four ground balls in the match, no other DePauw student-athlete had more in the match.
The 24 Ohio Wesleyan goals were shared by 13 Battling Bishop laxers. Colin Short, Kyle Foster, Tommy Minkler and Spencer Schnell each scored three goals for Ohio Wesleyan.
Minkler posted a game-high six points after adding three assists to his three goals. Jaime Vavrek notched four assists for the Battling Bishops, a game high.
DePauw’s JR Strubbe stopped a career-high 17 shots in the game, the second-highest mark of the season for any NCAC goalie.
The Tigers return home on Saturday, April 13, to take on Oberlin on Boswell Field at 1 p.m. (ET).
