Cohen Cops Conference Citation

Greencastle, Ind. – DePauw senior Jason Cohen was honored by the North Coast Athletic Conference by being named the conference’s player of the week after hitting .619 (13-21) with two doubles, one triple, one home run, 10 RBI and seven runs scored in six games last week.

On the season Cohen is batting .354 from the dish, starting all 27 games. His 21 runs scored and three triples are tied for the team lead, while he leads the squad in both doubles (7), home runs (3) and RBI (25).

His impressive play doesn’t stop at the batter’s box, Cohen also sports a .985 fielding percentage at his post at his first-base post.

After last week’s impressive showing, Cohen now ranks fifth in school history with 192 career hits, second with 130 RBI and third with 284 total bases.

Cohen and the Tigers return to the diamond on Saturday, April 20, when they take on Case Western Reserve in Cleveland, Ohio for a doubleheader. First pitch is scheduled for noon.
