April 17, 2013

Greencastle, Ind. – DePauw women’s tennis student-athlete, Meg Crowley was honored by the North Coast Athletic Conference this week after posting a 6-0 record this week in her matches.

In helping the Tigers secure three NCAC West Division victories, Crowley dropped a total of just five games in her three singles matches.

Playing in the No. 3 position against Wittenberg, Crowley double bageled her opponent, winning easily, 6-0, 6-0.

Denison was Crowley’s next victim, this time playing in the No. 2 slot. She would tally another victory after winning the first set, 6-4. Denison’s No. 2 would retire after falling in the first.

In DePauw’s last match of the week against the Battling Bishops of Ohio Wesleyan, Crowley breadsticked her No. 2 singles opponent in the first set before closing out the match with a 6-0 victory in the second set.

In doubles play, Crowley and doubles partner Claire Marshall continued their stellar play as the duo posted a 3-0 record as the No. 1 pairing.

The Tigers don’t return to the court until the NCAC Championships, starting April 26 in Oberlin, Ohio.
