DePauw Totals Season-high Four Goals in NCAC Win over Ohio Wesleyan

Greencastle, Ind. - Three different Tigers scored as DePauw notched a season-high in goals with a 4-0 North Coast Athletic Conference win over visiting Ohio Wesleyan. The Tigers improved to 8-5 overall and 3-1 in the NCAC, while the Battling Bishops dropped to 3-9 overall and 0-3 in conference play.
The teams fought through a scoreless first half before Caroline Zadina delivered her second goal of the season just 2:09 into the second half on Megann Lear's assist. Lear then assisted Emma Ueland at 56:33 to make it 2-0.
Zadina's second score of the game came from Stephanie Martin's pass at 74:28 before Chloe Jacob finished the scoring at 78:47 with another assist from Martin.
DePauw outshot the Battling Bishops, 18-4 including a 9-3 edge in shots on goal. The Tigers also held a 4-0 margin in corners.
Emma Cooper recorded the shutout in goal for DePauw and stopped three shots, while Ohio Wesleyan's Hannah Zacharias had five saves.
DePauw returns to action on Wednesday, October 16, with a 7 p.m. CDT contest at Illinois Wesleyan.Back
