Two Goals in Final Four Minutes Lifts DePauw to Win over Wooster

Greencastle, Ind. - DePauw dominated play throughout, but still needed two goals in the final 3:41 to take a 3-2 North Coast Athletic Conference win over Wooster on Nick Mourouzis Field at Blackstock Stadium.
The Tigers improved to 11-4 overall and 9-1 in the NCAC, while the Fighting Scots dropped to 8-7 overall and 6-5 in conference play.
Wooster took the first-half lead as Kerry O'Connor scored on Taylor Thorp's assist with 6:09 left. The Tigers then knotted the score just 2:10 into the second half on Paige Henry's unassisted goal. Leah Prescott gave Wooster a 2-1 advantage on Megan McGinley's assist at 45:52.
The Fighting Scots held the lead until 3:41 remained when Chelsea Cutler scored on Micheline Figel's pass and Figel delivered the game winner with 1:22 left on Cutler's assist.
DePauw outshot Wooster, 42-5 and held a 31-3 edge in corners. Maggie Steele took the win in goal for the Tigers, while Meredith Farley turned away 19 of DePauw's shots and Laura Kummer had a defensive save.
The Tigers host Oberlin tomorrow at 11 a.m.
