Tigers Knock Off Wooster; Will Host Kenyon in NCAC Championship

Greencastle, Ind.- After a 6-0 dominating victory over the College of Wooster, the Tigers will advance to their third straight North Coast Athletic Conference title match.
DePauw improved to 16-4 overall, while the Fighting Scots wrapped up their season with a 9-10 overall record.
The Tigers dominated the contest from start to finish outshooting Wooster 30-1. Micheline Figel put DePauw up 1-0 with 13:59 on the clock. Paige Henry added a first half goal in the 29th minute putting the Tigers in front 2-0 entering halftime.
The second half proved to be much of the same for DePauw as they extended their lead just four minutes into the half when Maggie Campbell drove home a pass from Chelsea Cutler. Two minutes later it was the Tigers’ Grace Goodbarn scoring on a pass from Grace Fisher to further increase the lead. Campbell would add another unassisted goal and provide an assist on Kate Jovanovic's goal in the 61st minute.
Wooster goalie Meredith Farley made 12 saves in a losing effort.
DePauw will play host to the #3 seed Kenyon Ladies this Saturday, November 9. Kenyon advanced after knocking of #2 seed Denison by a score of 1-0. The Tigers beat Kenyon twice during the regular season, but will need a third victory to grab their second straight NCAC tournament title. Saturday’s championship match is scheduled for a 2 p.m. start.Back
