Bridges Named NCAC Athlete of the Week

Greencastle, Ind.- DePauw sophomore swimmer Caroline Bridges (Mequon, Wis./University School Milwaukee) was named North Coast Athletic Conference athlete of the week after her strong performances in freestyle events last week.
On Friday, Bridges finished second in the 50 free (24.88) and 100 free (53.30) against Division I Xavier. In Saturday’s double-dual meet she won the 100 free (53.31) and 200 free (1:56.18) against Illinois Wesleyan and Rose-Hulman. She added a second place finish in the 50 free on Saturday with a time of 24.87.
The Tigers’ 200 free relay of Bridges, Ellen Riehle, Erin Horne and Kirsten Olson secured a first place finish Friday night finishing with a time of 1:40.58.
DePauw fell to Xavier 167-99 Friday, but rebounded with a pair of wins topping Rose-Hulman, 210-55, and Illinois Wesleyan 193-98.
Bridges and the Tigers are back in action Saturday, January 25, when they travel to the University of Chicago for a double-dual meet against Chicago and the Illinois Institute of Technology.Back
