Soccer Coach Nick Noel '07 Moving to Indiana HS

Nick Noel, a 2007 graduate of DePauw University, has been named the boy's soccer coach at  Lawrence North High School, reports the Indianapolis Star. "Noel, a former Zionsville High School player, is currently teaching and coaching in Batavia, Ohio, and he and his family plan to return to the Indianapolis area following the conclusion of the school year."

Mark Ambrogi writes, "Noel led his Batavia High School team to an undefeated regular season this year, finishing 14-1-2, earning conference coach of the year honors. Noel lettered for two years at Ohio Wesleyan University before transferring to DePauw, where he again lettered for two years, serving as team captain his senior year. He was named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Most Valuable Player and was a first-team Academic All-American. Since 2006, Nick has coached at the DePauw summer camps, where he now serves as director."

As a DePauw senior, Noel -- who was an education studies major -- was selected to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America® College Division Men's Soccer First Team and was named the 2006 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Year.  Read more here.
