September 18, 2012

David T. Christman,a 2000 graduate of DePauw University, has been promoted to chief information officer of Oak Street Funding. Christman joined the firm, a commission-based lender for insurance agents, in 2004 as director of information systems.

In his new role, "He is responsible for all aspects of the company's IT infrastructure, including networking, telephony, software development, and data analysis," notes today's announcement. "He has managed the increasingly complex technology needs of the company during a period of rapid growth. Following a 36 percent increase in loans to insurance agents in 2011, Oak Street Funding is on pace for 300 percent growth in 2012."

"A strong and scalable technology infrastructure has been crucial to our rapid growth, and David has effectively built and managed that capability," says Rick Dennen, CEO of Oak Street Funding. "We couldn't have managed our growth without David's technology leadership."

A computer science major at DePauw, "Christman has more than 12 years of computer programming and data analysis experience, most of which focused on the insurance commission asset stream."
