David Bausman '06 Joins Indiana Dept. of Agriculture

David C. Bausman, a 2006 graduate of DePauw University, has been appointed program manager for policy & regulatory affairs with the Indiana State Department of Agriculture. He comes to the post from the law firm of Javitch, Block & Rathbone, where he handled civil litigation, statutory code and case law research. Prior to that, Bausman was the assistant majority attorney for the Indiana State Senate Republican Caucus.

"At ISDA, Bausman will be involved extensively with regulatory and legislative policy in the areas of farming and agribusiness," notes an announcement from the agency.

"I’m pleased to have David joining the ISDA team," says Gina Sheets, director of ISDA. "His background in the legislative branch and the private sector will assist our department greatly as we continue our mission of advocating on behalf of farmers and agribusinessEAST COLLEGE NIGHT in regulatory and policy matters. We continue in our search to complete the ISDA policy team."

A political science major at DePauw, where he graduated cum laude, Bausman went on to earn a degree from the Indiana University School of Law in Indianapolis.
