Peace Corps Service of Anthony Navarette '12 is Noted

September 6, 2013

Anthony Navarette, a 2012 graduate of DePauw University, "is currently serving as a Peace Corps volunteer in Ethiopia," notes an article on his recent visit to the Washington, D.C. headquarters of the National Peace Corps Association. Navarette "was on his way back to the field after spending his mid-service break with family in the U.S." (photo: Glenn Blumhorst, president of the NCPA, with Anthony Navarette)

The text adds, "Back in the fall of 2006, Anthony was a remarkably globally-minded and inquisitive youth who heard about the Peace Corps from an RPCV who shared his experience with Anthony’s high school Spanish class in their hometown of Slater, Missouri. Anthony was quite intrigued by the lively Third Goal presentation and became even more interested in international affairs, eventually graduating in 2012 from DePauw University and joining the Peace Corps himself."
