Newspaper Profiles Business Owner Natalie Malik '01

"Interior Design is my second career; I have a master’s degree in advertising from Boston University and an undergraduate degree from DePauw University," Natalie J, Malik tells the Tahoe Daily Tribune of Lake Tahoe, Nevada. A 2001 graduate of DePauw, Malik and her business, Talie Jane Interiors, are featured in the newspaper.

A communication major and anthropology minor at DePauw, where she was a Media Fellow, Malik says, "I worked in advertising for seven years before returning to school for another undergraduate degree, this time in Interior Design from Harrington College of Design, Chicago. My third degree was the charm; I opened Talie Jane Interiors in Chicago thereafter."

The business, which is now based in South Lake Tahoe, "serves clients throughout the region, including Reno, Carson City, Minden, Gardnerville, Glenbrook and beyond," writes Caitlin Row.dp newspaper

Explaining the name of her business, Malik notes, "Talie is Natalie without the ‘Na’ and Jane is my middle name. So, Talie Jane is me!"
