Pete Ohs '05 Honored at L.A. Film Festival

"Cinematographers Christian Sorensen Hansen and Pete Ohs earned the U.S. fiction cinematography prize for their sci-fi fantasy Everything Beautiful Is Far Away" at the L.A. Film Festival yesterday, reports the Los Angeles Times. Ohs is a 2005 graduate of DePauw University; his latest film, which he wrote and directed, was debuted at the festival.

Pete Ohs was a computer science major and Information Technology Associate at DePauw.

In 2013, he was among Filmmaker magazine's "25 New Faces of Independent Film" for the experimental documentary, I Send You This Place, which was an official selection of the 2012 Full Frame Documentary Film Festival and the 2012 Reykjavík International Film Festival in Iceland. A music video directed by Ohs, a three-time regional Emmy® Award-winner, was named one of 2010's "50 Best" by NME.
