Prof. David Herrold Presenting Exhibition at Wichita State University

East College is 1October 3, 2000, Greencastle, Ind. - David Herrold, professor of art at DePauw University, will present new work in an exhibition at Wichita State University entitled "Recent Work: Vessels and Sculpture in Porcelain", at the Clayton Staples Gallery, October 16 - November 3. Herrold will also give a slide lecture and studio demonstration there on Oct. 16th in conjunction with the opening festivities.

Titled "Indiana Clay," the lecture will focus on the work of Herrold, John Goodheart (Indiana University), Dan Engelke (Purdue University) and Dick Hay (Indiana State University). The talk begins with a show Herrold organized in 1975 called "Indiana Low Temperature" that featured the four artists, then skips forward to "look at the work we were doing at mid-career and finishes with our current work".

The demonstration will feature Herrold showing some of the techniques used for the work in the show.
