DePauw Chamber Players in Concert October 22

October 17, 2000, Greencastle, Ind. - The DePauw University School of Music will present The DePauw Chamber Players in a concert of music by Shostakovich, Heggie and Beethoven. The performers will include music faculty members Verna Abe, Eric Edberg, Amanda Hopson and Caroline Bradley Smith; staff accompanist and vocal coach Stephen Swedish; and guest performer T.J. Hull, principal violist of the Kokomo Symphony.

The concert is scheduled on Sunday, October 22, at 7:30 p.m., in the Performing Arts Center, Thompson Recital Hall. It is free and open to the public.

Abe and Hull will perform Sonata for Viola and Piano, op. 147 by Dmitry Shostakovich. Two songs by Jake Heggie will be performed by Smith, Edberg and Hopson. The program will end with Edberg and Swedish performing Beethoven's Sonata in A Major for Piano and Cello, op. 69.
