Weekend Concerts in the School of Music

October 21, 2000, Greencastle, Ind. - This weekend in the School of Music there will be concerts including performances by students, faculty members and guest performers. On Friday evening at 9 p.m. the last concert in the series "Music to my Eyes: Musical Instruments as Visual Art" will be presented in Thompson Recital Hall. The performance is titled "A Taste of India."

On Saturday at 7:30 p.m. in Thompson Recital Hall, sopranos Katrina Cline and Amanda Grooms will be performing their junior recitals with a joint program of solo songs, including songs with flute and trumpet, and conclude the program with a duet from Mozart's The Marriage of Figaro.

Musical notesThe DePauw University Band will present their annual Halloween concert on Sunday at 1:30 p.m. in Kresge Auditorium.

Soprano Kristin Mehl is giving her junior recital on Sunday at 7:30 p.m. in Thompson Recital Hall, performing works by Mozart, Mahler, Chausson and Barab.

All four events are free and open to the public.
