Writing for Hollywood and Collaborating: Playwright Offers Tips

April 30, 2001, Greencastle, Ind. — Playwright Bonnie Bedford will be on the DePauw University campus this week to present two talks. Bedford's appearance coincides with the DePauw Little Theatre production of Group S.O.S., a play that she authored.

On Wednesday, May 2 at 4:15 p.m. in Kerr Theater of the Performing Arts Center, Bedford will present a talk entitled, "How a Writer Does Business in Hollywood: Challenges, Pitfalls, Agents, Options, and Keeping Your Cool".

The following day, Thursday, May 3, Bedford will discuss "After You Write the Play: Surviving Collaboration with Other Theatre Professionals" at 4:15 p.m. in Kerr Theatre.

The DePauw Little Theatre's final production of the 2000-01 season, Group S.O.S. can be seen in Moore Theater of the PAC, Friday, May 4 at 8:00 p.m., with Saturday and Sunday matinees at 2 p.m. Tickets for the play are $3 for students and $6 for adults.
