Editor & Publisher Notes The DePauw's 150th Anniversary

February 1, 2002, Greencastle, Ind. - "The DePauw has earned itself a party," begins an item in Editor & Publisher's January 21, 2002 issue. A two paragraph column in the National Report, entitled "SPJ cradle to mark its 150th year" continues, "The almost-150-year-old college newspaper -- birthplace of the Society of Professional Journalists -- is planning a sesquicentennial celebration for April 5-6."

The article mentions The DePauw's rich history of producing influential journalists, citing Bernard Kilgore, Eugene C. Pulliam and James B. Stewart "among its many talented alumni."
