Three Free Music Concerts This Week

March 2, 2002, Greencastle, Ind. - The DePauw University School of Music will present three free events in Thompson Recital Hall of the Performing Arts Center during the week of March 4. The first will be a concert by Claude Cymerman, piano; Rick Graef, horn; Anna Mattix, oboe; and Anne Reynolds, flute, that includes 20th-century music of Madeleine Dring, Paul Hindemith, Camille Saint-Saëns, and Jan Bach. The concert is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Monday, March 4.

At 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 6, Eric Edberg and Stephen Swedish will join forces to present two sonatas for cello and piano, one by Sergei Prokofiev and the other by Dmitry Shostakovich.

On Thursday, March 7, at 8:30 p.m., Sara Mummey, junior music major, will present a student recital accompanied by pianist Stephen Musical notesSwedish.

Again, all three events will take place in Thompson Recital Hall and are free and open to the public.
