Laugh with Fuddy Meers, April 12-14 & 19-20

April 5, 2002

April 5, 2002, Greencastle, Ind. - On April 12-14 and 19-20, DePauw Little Theatre presents its final production of the 2001-02 season, Fuddy Meers, directed by Gigi Jennewein Fenlon. A wickedly absurd and hilarious comedy, Fuddy Meersis a wild roller coaster ride through one day in the life of Claire, a woman stricken with a rare form of amnesia. Waking up every morning with no memory, Claire is essentially a blank slate who must rely on an odd and questionable collection of characters to remind her of who she is.

Playwright David Lindsay-Abaire creates an unpredictable world where nothing is as it seems. Like a funhouse mirror, the dialogue reveals laughable, warped and often brutal reflections of Claire's life and the people around her. The New York Times says Fuddy Meers has, "Fresh, zingy dialogue" and calls it "...a dark, sweet and thoroughly engaging comedy" The New York Daily News sums up the play as "Non-stop hilarity."

All performances begin at 8 p.m. in Moore Theatre, except for the Sunday matinee which begins at 2 p.m. The play does contain adult language and situations.

Tickets are $6 for adults and $3 for students. For more information, or to reserve seats, call (765) 658-4827 or e-mail by clicking here.
