Bring Your Kids to 'Art Attack', November 10th

November 7, 2002, Greencastle, Ind. - DePauw University will be bustling with free, exciting art activities for kids on Sunday, November 10, the final day of DePauw's first-ever ArtsFest. Visiting artists and student groups will perform and offer fun and free art activities throughout the day. "Art Attack" events include Irish folk music, a musical instruments "petting zoo," three screenings of Disney's Lilo & Stitch, juggling, dance, mask-making, a coloring contest, face painting, drumming and other enjoyable activities for children of all ages.

Sunday will also be the final day to view the Buddhist sand mandala which is being created by Tibetan monks in the Memorial Student Union Building during ArtsFest. This intricate and unique form of art will be dismantled in a special ceremony at 4 p.m.

"Art Attack" activities, which are free and open to the public, will be held in the Memorial Student Union Building, the Performing Arts Center and outside in Bowman Park, weather permitting. In case of inclement weather, the outdoor activities will be moved into the Union Building.
