HS Scholar-Athlete Eyes DePauw, Newspaper Reports

January 3, 2003

January 3, 2003, Greencastle, Ind. - Seymour High School's "Hilary Pollert has stuck with the Owls' girl's basketball program, and in her senior year she's been one of the Owls sticking it to the opponents," writes Dan King in the Seymour Daily Tribune, noting, "Pollert also finds a way to succeed off the court. A top student in her class, Pollert is planning on studying bio-chemistry at either Butler or DePauw. 'I've always wanted to do something in the medical field like medical research,' Pollert said."

The article in the Indiana newspaper adds, "Pollert is the lone senior on the Owls roster and has averaged 10.4 points this season for a team that has already won more games this season than they did each of the last two seasons."
