Mike Leonard '87 Named Head Football Coach at Franklin College

January 11, 2003, Greencastle, Ind. - Mike Leonard, who was named the head football coach at Franklin College Friday, "was a graduate assistant at DePauw and Alabama and returned to Hanover as offensive coordinator from 1987-91. He later was an assistant at Holy Cross, Butler and Wittenberg, and returned to start his second stint at Hanover in 1999," notes today's Indianapolis Star. Leonard earned his master's degree from DePauw in 1987.

Coach Leonard has served as the offensive coordinator at Hanover College the past four years and takes over for Bill Unsworth, the indianapolis starwho led Franklin's footballers to a 19-31 record over five years.
