DePauw's Participation in Prelude Awards Noted

February 11, 2004, Greencastle, Ind. - "For the third year, The Children's Museum partnered with Butler, Ball State and DePauw universities and the University of Indianapolis to provide additional scholarships for young artists," notes an Indianapolis Star article on Friday night's annual Prelude Awards Celebration Dinner.

It states, "The Prelude Awards are a comprehensive creative arts competition and scholarship program designed to provide experiences about learning through the arts. The purpose of the Prelude Awards program is to encourage Marion County high school students to explore and develop their talents in dance, instrumental music, creative writing, theater, video/film, vocal music, visual arts and collaboration."
