April 3, 2004, Greencastle, Ind. - Joe Cheshire, a 1999 graduate of DePauw University, has joined Butler University's football program as a graduate assistant. An item in today's Indianapolis Star notes, "Cheshire spent the past two seasons as offensive backs coach at DePauw, where he lettered in football for four years."

Butler's Web site adds, "Cheshire, a four-year football letterwinner at DePauw University and the son of former Butler football player Jim Cheshire ('75), will have responsibility for Butler's offensive backs. He spent the past two seasons as offensive backs coach at DePauw, under head coach Nick Mourouzis.
