May 11, 2004, Greencastle, Ind. - The NCAA Division III women's golf championship begins today in Green Lake, Wisconsin, reports today's Oshkosh Northwestern, noting the hometown University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh team "will have to bring a strong effort ... as they will face the six-time defending champs from Methodist College of Fayetteville, North Carolina, and the Division III Player of the Year Jessica Schneider from powerhouse DePauw University of Greencastle, Indiana."
Sonya M. Parks' story continues, "The Tigers of DePauw University finished third at last year's tournament, but are ranked first in the most recent NCAA
Division III poll by Golfstat, ahead of Methodist. The Tigers also have the top player in Division III on their team in Schneider [seen at right]. She has won four tournaments this year and has 10 top-five finishes."
