Paul Van Booven '73 Posthumously Inducted Into University of Kentucky Law School Hall of Fame

Van Booven, a 1973 graduate of DePauw University, has been inducted into the University of Kentucky College of Law Alumni Association Hall of Fame. A story in the Woodford Sun of Versailles, Kentucky refers to Van Booven, one of four individuals inducted this year, as "a loyal friend to the entire UK community."

It continues, "Van Booven graduated from the UK College of Law in 1976 and served the college and the university with consummate skill and grace until his death in 2004. He received his undergraduate degree from DePauw University in Indiana. From 1976 to 1989 he served in the UK College of Law as associate dean, ushering in the modern administrative structure of the college." Van Booven was serving as general counsel for the University of Kentucky when he lost his four year battle with cancer on January 10, 2004.
