The story notes that at this week's Democratic National Convention in Boston, Beeson donned a flip-flop costume, which is "designed to show what Republicans say are John Kerry's flip-flops on issues" and has "drawn the attention of several television crews." The text continues, "Beeson says she decided to take the Republican group's internship because she wanted to becoming involved in the presidential campaign. She also plans to attend the Republican convention, which begins August 30th in New York. Beeson is also student body president at DePauw University in Greencastle."
