Prof. Bernard Batto's Book, David and Zion, is Published

August 12, 2004, Greencastle, Ind. - Bernard F. Batto, professor of religious studies at DePauw University, is co-editor of the new book, David and Zion: Biblical Studies in Honor of J. J. M. Roberts. The 444-page volume includes chapters written by twenty-one different scholars, including, "The Divine Sovereign: The Image of God in the Priestly Creation Account," which was contributed by Dr. Batto.

A description of the book at the publisher's Web site states, "J. J. M. Roberts was graduated from Harvard University, taught at the Johns Hopkins University, and then spent the bulk of his teaching career at Princeton Theological Seminary, where he influenced and was well loved by several generations of students. Here, 21 colleagues and former students contribute essays that reflect Roberts' core interests."
