Doughty named SCAC Player of the Week

Freshman guard Suzy Doughty was selected as the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Co-Player of the Week after helping the Tigers pick up three wins last week. She shared the honor with Rhodes' Taylor Cook.
Doughty came off the bench to average 11.3 points, 5.3 assists, 3.0 rebounds and 2.3 steals per game in wins over Rose-Hulman, Southwestern and Trinity.
Against Rose-Hulman, Doughty matched a career high with five assists and established another with 13 points. In the win at Southwestern she dished out a career-high seven assists and in the victory at Trinity she equaled her career-high point total in the first half alone with 13 point and finished with 19 as well as with four assists.
During the week, Doughty hit 13 of 23 field goal tries and posted an 8:1 assist-to-turnover ratio with 16 assists and just two turnovers.
