Newspaper Previews Saturday's Football Game vs. Rose-Hulman

November 5, 2004

markshope.jpgNovember 5, 2004, Greencastle, Ind. - "Our upperclassmen say that if we're not having a good year, a win over DePauw makes it a good year," Adam Williams, a freshman tight end at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, is quoted in the Daily Clarion of Princeton, Indiana. The article previews tomorrow's football game at Blackstock Stadium between DePauw, which is 6-2 on the season, and Rose-Hulman, 4-4. The newspaper's Pete Swanson writes, "DePauw's 6-2 record stands second among Indiana colleges of all football groupings. The Tigers' record is topped only by unbeaten St. Francis of NAIA membership."

Williams notes, "DePauw came within one-point of Trinity, the Division III Top-10 team that beat us in San Antonio. Their line is the strongest part of their defensive unit. They're giving up only about 100 yards a game rushing."
