Eighth-ranked Tigers picked to repeat as SCAC champions

GREENCASTLE, Ind. - Garnering six of 10 first-place votes from the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference 10 head coaches, the eighth-ranked DePauw women's basketball was picked to defend as conference champions.
The Tigers totaled 95 points to edge Trinity which had 93 points along with four first-place votes. Hendrix was picked third with 78 points. The remaining order includes Southwestern, Rhodes, Rose-Hulman, Sewanee, Millsaps, Centre and Oglethorpe.
DePauw finished the 2003-04 campaign with a 26-4 overall record and a 13-1 SCAC mark. The Tigers shared the SCAC regular season title with Trinity before defeating Trinity in the SCAC tournament finals, 62-57. DePauw defeated Aurora in the first round of the NCAA Championship before bowing out at Thomas More in the second round.
The Tigers open the 2004-05 season by hosting Kalamazoo in the first round of the DePauw Tipoff Tournament on Friday, November 19.
